Fall decor ideas 20197/14/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() I have been so happy with how it has held up. My family puts their feet up on it and we really “use” it. I probably vacuum it a couple of times a month and that’s it. I have gotten so many questions about maintaining it and it really is much easier than you think. This space feels so warm and cozy and I can’t wait for the fall temperatures to really hit here in Dallas so we can start using our fireplace for the season.Īs much as I love homes with neutral sofas and chairs, this royal navy blue sofa really makes this space. I love these little metal pumpkins too! I got them in 2 sizes. I have looked high and low for something similar but just can’t find it. I love mixing old with new and this hurricane is from a local antique shop. It has a mix of that soft yellow gold with a blue grey that is just so pretty for fall. ![]() This year I choose this more antique patterned pillow. It is a hard one to get with the lighting but I love the rich pop of the navy sofa with the window treatments in our breakfast room. I paired them with these super soft and yummy sage green pillows on my side chairs and threw my favorite chunky knit throw blanket over the arm of the chair. They feel amazing and are the perfect layering pillow with patterns or if you just need a pop of texture to a space. This is the second color I have gotten because I love them so much. I love these beautiful textured linen pillows. I love that this color combo is such an easy one from shades of summer and neutral enough that it is not too overpowering with the fall decor. It’s not quite gold but if you think of the color wheat is then you are right on the money. My color scheme this year was shades of wheat and sage greens. I found some pieces I have not used in years that I pulled out for this year’s decor and A LOT I am saying goodbye too. ![]() As I posted last week, I just purged our media room and with that I had my husband pull out all our fall decor boxes which I am currently weeding through. This year I did not join the rest of “blog land” and decorate my home in August and post it at the beginning of September. I love that Lauren gets to enjoy all these new traditions our town has! I also love all the fall celebrations our town has and it is so incredibly different here compared to growing up in California. We now live across the lake from our town’s brand new high school stadium so we have been enough Friday night lights to the max.
